Vinyl Fence Installation Company Minnesota

Maintenance free fencing is growing in popularity with vinyl being the top option when it comes to privacy. Let's take a look at what to consider when choosing a company to install a vinyl fence at your home in Minnesota.

Choosing a Vinyl Fence Installation Contractor in MN

There are many methods when discussing the post installation for vinyl fences. Here at Ridgeline Fence and Deck, we prefer to pound our line, corner, and end posts in the the ground 4-5ft versus setting the post 2.5ft deep with concrete. We do this as it makes the fence post stronger, eliminates the possibility of a fence post to heave, and does not leave a mess in our clients yard the way dirt piles do from a traditional dig and set installation. This installation method includes a 2.5 round inch galvanized post that is pounded in the ground, and sleeved with a vinyl post over it. Want to see this method in action?

Pricing of Vinyl Fences MN

Many consumers are surprised to learn where vinyl fences fall price wise in comparison to wood fences. Our vinyl fences tend to fall in line with the cost of our stockade fence style and would be relatively less costly than our horizontal or craftsman package. Durability of Vinyl Fences in MN

Vinyl fences are a great option if want to have a maintenance free fence installed and never worry about it again. Wood fences will require some up keep to maintain their beautiful cedar color compared to vinyl fences that will only need a simple wash once a year. A consideration to keep in mind when deciding if a vinyl fence is right for you is to understand that vinyl fences are made from plastic. In the winter time, plastic becomes more fragile and has a high likelihood to crack from impact of a dog or kid hitting the fence. This isn't to say that we do not recommend vinyl fences, but we like to inform all our potential customers of all the advantages and disadvantages of each material and fence option.

How To Choose The Highest Quality Vinyl Fence MN

Trying to decide what a high quality vinyl fence looks like and is made of can be difficult. There are many manufactures and stores selling products that all look so similar. Let's break down what to look for in a high quality vinyl fence. The first step before looking at the product itself, is to research the manufacture. It is important to know who makes the vinyl and what the warranty is. Ridgeline Fence and Deck uses Homeland Vinyl Products because they are an industry leader who offers a fantastic warranty to all our customers. The next step is understanding the various components that make up a vinyl fence. Industry standard for the post size is going to be 5x5 inches. We would not recommend going with a 4x4 inch vinyl post that can found at places like Homedepot, Menards, or Lowes because they do not provide the necessary strength in high wind situations. The next component to review is the rails which are the two vertical cross members of the fence and to know what size they are. Many companies in MN are going to be using a 1.5x5.5 inch rail which we find to be inadequate and less strong given how harsh our winters tend to be. Ridgeline uses a 2x7 inch rail which provides the necessary strength when snow is piling up against your fence. Finally, it is important to know how thick the pickets are. Pickets can range from 1/2 inch thick to 7/8 inch, with industry standard normally at 5/8 inch thick. We use a 7/8 inch thick picket because it makes them more resistant to failure in high winds and abuse from dogs and kids. Want to see the differences in a video format? Click the link below!

10/10 recommend Ridgeline fence & deck. We priced out a few other companies and are glad went with Ridgeline. Though maybe a smaller fence company compared to the local giants, the service is large. Max, the owner was one of the most responsive and communicative people I’ve worked with. Everything was seamless. They came out and installed our fence in ONE DAY. Max was onsite for a portion of the day as well but not as an observant owner- he worked hard helping his team install our fence as well. From bid to full installation was about a month. If you’re thinking about using Ridgeline, do it!!

We reached out to Ridgeline for our fence replacement and couldn't be happier with the end result. We finally have the privacy fence we always wanted and a gate that we can put across the driveway that is light and easy to open close so our dogs can be out in the yard with us. The communication and follow up were wonderful and I would say you can't go wrong hiring Ridgeline. Worth every penny.

After 5 different Estimates i decided on Ridgline fence and im very glad i did. I was able to get the fence installed 2 months earlier than all other contractors. but the most important aspect was the quality of work. All Done with in house employees! Anthony and Max were great. there are many companies out there that dont install fences properly. Ridgeline is now one of those. Im Getting so many compliments on my new fence and its made our backyard so much better! we went with the white pvc 6ft fence. we love it! if we need more fencing done we will go with Ridgeline!
