Safety & Containment
A fenced dog run provides a designated area where your dog can be outside without constant supervision, reducing risk of escapes or wandering into potentially dangerous places (roads, plants and neighboring yards). A dog run fence will also help protect your dog from other animals or hazards entering your yard.
Exercise, Mental Stimulation & Behaviour
Just like us humans, dogs need the space to move, explore, sniff, and play. Having a designated area for your dog to allow these things will increase their own quality of life. With this kind of free but contained space, it can help reduce boredom, destructive behaviour (like chewing or digging) and excess energy. Another key reason to install a dog run is that it also offers a controlled environment for training.
Protection of Property and Landscaping
You can have the best of both worlds and still have a backyard garden and a dog run.By limiting where your dog can roam, you can protect garden beds, lawns, landscaping, and avoid damage from digging or marking in undesired locations. One of my favorite reasons for installing a dog run fence is that it will be an easier cleanup and management of dog waste when the dog uses a defined area rather than the whole yard.
Peace of Mind & Convenience
Life can be stressful. Providing a dog run fence can give you some peace when you’re going through a rough time. By having a fence you can relax more and have some peace of mind knowing your dog is in a safe area. The fence can also save you some time by not needing to lease your dog every time!
